After making a pretty decent splash on the Nintendo 3DS last year with the impressive Dead or Alive Dimensions, developer Team Ninja has confirmed that a conversion of Dead or Alive 5 will be headed to Sony’s embattled handheld early next year.
Titled Dead or Alive 5 Plus, the pint-sized jiggling brawler is set to not only be a decent replica of the 360/PS3 experience, but will also contain a number of enhancements over the existing home console version too.
What these enhancements could be are anybody’s guess at this juncture, but the developer has promised that a “feature rich” patch for the home versions of the game will be in the offing and will likely be inclusive of whatever additional features the ‘Plus’ iteration of the game will bring.
The announcement was made by Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi in a YouTube video posted on IGN‘s channel which you can see after the jump.
Dead or Alive 5 Plus is due to release exclusively for Playstation Vita early in 2013.
