Now here’s a worthy cause to get behind; if you buy Disney Fairies: Lost and Found for 69p from the Apple App Store for iOS, Disney will donate £1 to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (only until 25th Dec).

We’ve got more details on this after the break.  Check it out.

Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity help out hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged kids and families every year. Help em’ do what they do best eh?

Predominantly aimed at the young un’s, Disney Fairies: Lost & Found, is a hidden-objects game for iPhone and iPad set in Pixie Hollow.  In it, younger gamers will be spotting lost objects ranging from animals and treasures to other secrets against the clock.  To further enhance the experience,  a cast of film fairies taken straight from Disney’s movies will be loitering about for them to interact with.

Additionally, playing through the entire game will also unlock a completely unique story: Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings, providing the small ones with a tangible reward for playing the game.

Paul Brown, General Manager of Disney Interactive, had this to say regarding the game:

“We are delighted to be able to help make this an Appy Christmas for Great Ormond Street Hospital.  No matter where they’re spending the festive season, we know that kids love fairies and the wonder and beauty of Pixie Hollow. Disney Fairies: Lost & Found not only allows players to engage with the characters in the game but also understand the mission of a true Disney fairy and the importance of giving back at this time of year.”

In all honesty this is a cracking little incentive and even for grown-ups like us (I use that term loosely obviously), the game looks charming enough to provide a couple of hours of throwaway entertainment.

The incentive runs until Christmas Day,  but the game’s 69p price point is only temporary; so i’d probably hope on that bandwagon sooner rather than later.
