UPDATE: Prices added for the five releases, and I gotta say, they seem pretty pricey…
I’m just not doing well with my headline puns. I’m sorry. I blame my tooth pain issues. But even with my lack of humor, the Nintendo Wii U eShop lineup for tomorrow’s big launch day is looking pretty damn sweet. The guys at Siliconera have the details and while they have the names of five launch titles, there’s no pricing revealed (EDIT: Prices are up now). The lineup still looks pretty great!
- Chasing Aurora - $14.99 - Broken Rules
- Little Inferno – $14.99 – Tomorrow Corporation
- Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition - $9.99 – WayForward Technologies
- Nano Assault NEO - $9.99 – Shin’en Multimedia
- Trine 2: Director’s Cut - $19.99 – Frozenbyte
There is also word that a Rayman Legends Demo will be available and Nintendo is already on record stating that the TV and media services/apps will be released sometime in December along with the first bits of DLC. Patches are also a thing now, as Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin’s Creed III for Wii U will have a Day 1 Patch because that’s normal now.
Anybody picking up a Wii U tomorrow? I know a few of us here at TGV are grabbing systems, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for some Wii U reviews in the coming weeks. I’m hoping for Funky Barn…

I’m super annoyed because I reserved my Wii U at the beginning of October, but it won’t arrive for at least a week due to the store I reserved it at getting less stock than they expected. :(
That sucks, Zach. I’d kick the store in the balls…
