EDIT: This story has been updated with more details from the European PlayStation Blog.

My adorable colleague John-Paul Jones, who has something called a “real job” and is unable to get this story up, alerted me to this news post over on CVG revealing the details for the European launch of PlayStation Plus on the PS Vita.

In the story, it’s revealed that it will be introduced on Wednesday, the 21st, with Vita software version 2.00 and is available to current PS3 PS Plus subscribers at no cost. Users will have access to four Vita games per month, as well as automatic updates, discounts, and a dedicated 1GB of cloud storage for Vita save files. The announced lineup of Vita games includes Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!, and Chronovolt.

EDIT: In addition to that, for launch week, there will be a 20% off sale on a bunch of Vita releases. The sale games are Escape Plan, Unit 13, Hustle Kings, MotorStorm RC, Super Stardust Delta and it’s DLC, Top Darts, Little Deviants, Modnation Racers: Road Trip, and Reality Fighters.

While the details for the US launch aren’t available yet (EDIT: They are now!), it’s expected to hit our Britishly-liberated shores on the same date, and I’d imagine a similar game lineup, but you never know. SCEA has a wonderful knack of underwhelming us while SCEE lavishly bathes those with funny accents with better games. I’m sure we’ll find out by Monday at the latest!
