Well, how about that ladies and gents?
After a successful re-release of Grand Theft Auto 3 last year on iOS and Android, Rockstar have today confirmed that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, viewed by many as the finest entry in the series to date, will get another chance to shine next year on those very same mobile formats.
We’ve got more info on this for you after break y’know.
As per last year’s anniversary re-release of Grand Theft Auto 3, you’ll get the whole undiluted article that PS2 and Xbox owners had back in the day as well as a number of ”enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms.” according to the official press release that you can see here.
As soon as we get more infomation on this, we’ll be sure to post it up.
GTA: Vice City eh? On my iPad? Alright, if I must.
What do you folks think of this? Excited?

This means then, that in 2014, we’ll get GTA: San Andreas: 10th Anniversary edition for our future iThings and ‘Droids. Obviously.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary is due to hit iOS and Android platforms before the end of 2012.

I swear I’m one of the only people on the planet who didn’t like Vice City. I just hated the entire feel of the game, despite being an 80′s child. I’ll take GTA3 and San Andreas over Vice City any day of the week.
Or I don’t know, how about getting these 10th Anniversary remakes on a system with physical controls? They sure would work great on PSN/XBLA!
I liked it, but for me, GTA: SA routinely kicks the crap out of it.
Also, as far as physical controls go, Android folk can just plug in a 360 pad and away they go.
That’s what I did at any rate with GTA 3 on my Nexus 7 :)
But yea, I agree, this whole 10th anniversary shtick should have a wider scope; I’d love to see these games touched up in HD for PSN/XBLA.
