I’ve been afflicted with a most terrible condition this past year.  The doctor’s say its incurable and that I have to just ‘wait it out’.  Scumbags, they’ll never grasp the magnitude of my suffering.

I’ve woken up every morning now, for as far as my memory recollect and found that Vblank‘s sublime looking Retro City Rampage isn’t available for me to buy.  The pain has been horrendous, the anguish unbearable; but hark! There is an end in sight as the publisher has at last confirmed release dates for the title.  I will be cured!

Retro City Rampage, a nostalgic mish-mash of gaming parodies, frenetic action and old-school GTA-style gameplay, all drizzled in a highly delectable layer of 8-bit visual goodness will release on the Sony and PC formats first, next week on October 9th for PS3, PS Vita and PC.

Creator Brian Provinciano has also put a balm to the foreheads of suffering Xbox 360 and Wii gamers too, confirming that it’ll XBLA sometime in November and Nintendo WiiWare around the same time.

    Man. I remember when this wasn’t even planned for Sony consoles and all the big talk was being on XBLA and now it’s Sony first?
    Oy. At least it’s finally coming the hell out…

  2. To be fair, i’d want as many folks as is humanly possible to experience this game.

    There’s no reason whatsoever why the creators of this shouldn’t have their pockets loaded with gold.
