Easily the biggest PlayStation Plus news for this week is that us PS Plus users are getting early access to the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta. I don’t know why it’s called a beta. Seems like a normal demo to me considering the game ships in a month, but there is mention of online tournaments, so perhaps the “beta” aspect is testing the servers to make sure they actually work smoothly when the game launches.
Other news sees a new free PS Plus game, a PS Plus early release, some more SEGA discounts for Plus members and a Halloween sale for ALL PSN Members, so read on for the rest of the SPOOOOOKY details.
I’m sorry.
Some added details for the Sony Smash Bros. beta before continuing is that you will have access to six characters and two stages as well as four player online tournaments and 2 vs. 2 online tournaments that supports friend invites to double team some poor suckaz. You regular, non-PS Plus owning mortals get the beta next week on the 23rd.
Demo stages are Metropolis and Hades, while you will be able to test drive Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess. That seems insensitive. She might have glandular issues. Maybe they should’ve gone with Slightly Husky Princess…..
Moving on, this week’s PS Plus freebie is PAYDAY: The Heist, which is absolutely not Red Dead Redemption, Bulletstorm, or Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition like Europe has gotten recently… We are also getting an exclusive early release of The Unfinished Swan. As with the previously mentioned Battle Royale beta, you non-Plus commoners get the privilege of buying The Unfinished Swan on the 23rd.
In terms of sales, PS Plus users can get a $6 discount if you buy the Day 1 Digital release of 007 Legends ringing up at $53.99. Non-Plussers can still grab it tomorrow for the full $59.99 price. PS Plus users can also snag two SEGA games on deep discount with Monster World IV at 80% off for only a buck and SEGA Rally Arcade at 70% off all the way down to $2.99.
The last big sale to mention sees a fairly large “Caravan of the Dead” Halloween Sale starting tomorrow running until 10/30 which sees discounts all the way up to 75%! Standard discount prices will be listed with PlayStation Plus Member pricing noted after.

Looks like a pretty insane week of sales for everybody! I know I’ll be picking up those PS Vita Zen Pinball tables. I already own them on the Xbox 360, but I can’t pass up cheap pinball tables for on the go! Also, I must insist, despite the low price point, AMY is still not worth buying, even at $2.50. I’d say the same for Ghostbusters: SoS, but at just $1.25 for plus members, it can’t be THAT bad, can it?

Whoever pays money for AMY is truly in for the fright of their lives.
