This is the post every week where I talk about how disappointing the new PlayStation Plus freebie is in our wonderfully diverse “Instant Game Collection” that has been a good 40% stagnant for months. There’s good news and bad news. The good news is I’m not going to make fun of this week’s freebie. The bad news is that there IS no new freebie this week so Sony can suck it twice as hard…
Seriously, the whole point of one freebie a week was that we’d get four new freebies for the month. One each week. Nothing this week, and if the comments in the Sony Blog post are any indication, nothing new next week either. Just remember that while our European buddies are enjoying Bulletstorm, Resident Evil 5, and Hell Yeah! for free, we get a whole pile of mediocrity.
So yeah, for the real update news, Hell Yeah! gets two DLC sales. Pimp My Rabbit is slashed from $4.99 to $3.99 and the Virtual Rabbit Missions is on sale from $2.99 to $2.39. SEGA saves the day with another $1 sale so the update isn’t total crap giving us Wonder Boy in Monster Land at 80% off for a buck. PS Plus users also get an exclusive timed trial for Medal of Honor Warfighter.
Good lord, November better make up for this crap month of PS Plus…

Not hating on Sony, here, I’m hating on the decisions of SCEA. Sony Europe is doing it right with PlayStation Plus while our US counterpart are really dropping the ball lately.
I’m more than ready to praise Sony if they do something right. I’d LOVE to see us get better PlayStation Plus content. I’m not a fan of spending $50 on a service and feeling like I’m not getting my money’s worth when it comes to the free games they are offering us.
When SCEA stops giving us shit updates, I’ll start being happier about the posts.
I honestly believe its a case of the grass is always greener. This month the us have have payday the heist, NFL blitz, king of fighters and (may be wrong here) NASCAR. is love to try these games because there ones is never buy, whereas I have already owned and finished res evil and bullet storm as well as red dead, borderlands,infamous 2 and just cause which have been the last few games we received so for me I want the us update but I guess that’s just human nature. People always want what someone else has. plus I’m sure you got Alex Kidd whereas its £5.00 here, for that I can buy a master system with the game built in.

I guess it’s a grass is greener kind of thing like you said. It just seems like we got two downloadable games, neither that really set the world on fire, and a fighter that also went largely unnoticed while you guys got some really big titles in RE5 and Bulletstorm.
Not to mention that didn’t you guys get Red Dead last month?
My gripe that 5 of the 12 titles in the US Instant Game Collection haven’t changed since it was announced.
I honestly do miss the days where we had a fresh new lineup EVERY month of 6-8 games including PSone and Minis. It’s been up and down for sure, but October has been an absolutely horrible month for US PS+ members save for the awesome SEGA deals. I’m buying the SEGA $1 games despite owning all of them on 360 already.
this is total bullshit, not one fucking thing to download today?? of course im going to complain. who the fuck wants discounts, saving 1-3$ isnt a discount, TAX costs 1 to 3$ so wtf kind of discount is that. sure borderlands was free but if you didnt already play borderlands or own borderlands after the 4 years it was out then you prob didnt care it was free because everyone has already bought played and beat that game. and seriously i play every game wether it sucks or not i have 150 games but these past few weeks have been so bad i havent even loaded the games. blitz wouldnt work it wouldnt load it kept freezing and by the time i got it to work i didnt want to play anymore i had to find out online that if u start it offline itll work. payday heist i actually liked alot and been playing but theres only a few maps on it and all impossible trophys. all stars beta i downloaded it and it was completely empty i couldnt even see what the game was because no one was playing! king of fighters looked so gay i didnt even try it yet, starhawk has ps1 graphics they havent even updated since warhawk and that was 6 years ago lol sure starhawk and warhawk has a few dedicated fans but me ill pass on that gay game. plus they only give u half the game lol. outland and bloodrayne those 2 games were so awfull they werent worth playing either. there was one good month that had just cause 2 little big planet and a bunch of awesomeness and half those games have been up ever since and havent been switched out yet. infamous is ok but cmon its been up for like 8 months. and next week supposenly wont have any updates either? im thinking of switching to xbox. i have 2 ps3s for media and im highly thinking of keeping them for movies only now and just giving up. first they closed my 5 account limit which ticked me off now this
and one more thing none of those sega games are worth a shit, they sell one game for 10$, you can buy the sonic collection for 20$ brand new and get 50 games lol. that would cost 500$ in the ps store for downloadable genesis games when you can get them all at once for 20 lol

As for your SEGA comment, none of the games they’ve offered on sale for $1 are part of the Genesis compilation, so your argument is flawed there. Their $1 sales are pretty great sales in my eyes.
