Jonatan Söderström of Dennaton Games, the developers behind the mind-shatteringly brilliant Hotline Miami, has told handheld gaming specialist website Pocket Gamer, that they’re looking into bring the game to a number of Sony formats in the future.
I wouldn’t hold your breath though as the developer has suggested that they wouldn’t port the game themselves, instead relying on someone else to do the legwork for them.
As well as pushing the game Sony-ward, the developer also hinted that the ultra-violent, neon-drenched actioner could eventually hit mobile and tablet formats at some point with the following comments:
“Would be interesting to see if it was possible to get it to play well on a touchscreen device. Sounds like a challenge.” from Mr. Söderström lending credence to the possibility.
Hotline Miami is a top-down, twitch based action game where you play a masked vigilante who must clear out entire builings of their criminal element before moving onto the next stage of the story. It’s fast, violent, deliciously stylish and full of tactical nuance and deceptive strategy. We liked it a whole lot when we reviewed the PC version recently, bestowing an almighty 9/10 upon its bloodied brow.
You can (and should) buy it here from Steam if you haven’t done so already. It’s just £6.99 too; so get to it.
What do you guys think? Would you buy Hotline Miami on your Sony/tablet/mobile format of choice? (You should)

Would you believe I didn’t realize that Hotline Miami was only $10 USD?
Buying this as soon as I get paid.
Good man! You absolutely, truly, won’t regret it.
