According to Deadline.com FOX is pressing ahead with plans to develop an hourly action comedy TV show based on EA and DICE’s Battlefield: Bad Company IP.

The website also reports that John Eisendrath, scribe and executive producer on the espionage TV show Alias is working on constructing the narrative for the small screen alongside EA’s Patrick Bach and Patrick O’Brien.

Featuring characters seen in the games, the Battlefield: Bad Company TV show marks the first time a videogame property has been turned into a live-action TV series by a big hitter studio like FOX.

No other details are known at the moment, but based on just that tidbit alone, what do you guys think?

Personally, if they take the Generation Kill route and up the black comedy a tad, they could be onto something.  Chances are they won’t and it’ll turn out to be garbage, but we can hope right?
