One of the earliest beacons of potential for the Wii U, Platinum Games’ P-100 found a lot of affection among folk with its Pikmin inspired action gameplay and bright, colourful visuals.

Today, Platinum Games have renamed P-101 to something different, something more substantial.

Behold mortals; The Wonderful 101.  Oh and there’s a new trailer for it after the jump too.

Depicting the same sort of madcap, mass-superhero controlling action seen previously, the trailer aptly shows why the game is one of the most anticipated for the platform; its chaotic, bright, colorful and has more than a bit of Viewtiful Joe echoed in its aesthetics.

The Beautiful 101 is a Wii U exclusive and will arrive sometime in 2013.
