Its always a good day for me when Capcom decide to release media of Remember Me; as I really think that the game looks like the dark horse of 2013.

That, and well the idea of screwing around with people’s memories just looks like far too cool a proposition to pass up on.

Its not really the mind screwery that Capcom is concerned with today however, instead this newly released ten minute trailer, aims to show us a lot more from the game’s hand-to-hand combat and platforming systems.

Specifically, we see our heroine Nillin, sprinting across Neo-Parisian rooftops in a frantic bid to elude an attack helicopter that really doesn’t like her very much.  Its during this chase that we get to see the bones of the game’s platforming, as Nillin effortlessly segues between sprinting, jumping and clambering; allaying fears that the acrobatic elements of the title might be clunky or otherwise disasppointing.

It’s looking good.

Combat looks reassuring solid too, with Nillin unleashing devastating fistic and kicking combos on a number of foes; smoothly switching targets in mid-flow.  Its not just the hand-to-hand stuff that looks good either, our heroine can also employ a number of ‘devices’ through a dynamic UI that can stun enemies, overwhelm them or cause an explosion.

Its all looking quite swish indeed and is certainly a mainstay on my 2013 radar.

That helicopter pilot really can’t shoot for toffee though can he?

The trailer is embedded below; how do you folks feel Remember Me is shaping up?

Remember Me is currently scheduled to release in May next year for 360, PS3 and PC platforms.
