With the Wii U talking up the majority of the headlines in recent days, other things around the games industry have nevertheless been bubbling away.

One such thing is EA‘s Medal of Honor: Warfighter which today showed off a brand new single-player gameplay trailer, showcasing the ‘Basilan’ mission.

Somewhat predictably, the trailer shows off everything that you’ll either love or hate about the Danger Close developed product depending on your mileage with modern FPS titles.  There are plenty of explosions, gun scoping (two different scopes!), po-faced military chatter and of course, the obligatory on-rails helicopter shootery bit where all of the bad guys come out to say ‘Hi!’ and wave at the helicopter with the big 30mm cannon pointed at them.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is due to release on October 23rd on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms.
