With the recently announced Broken Sword 5 Kickstarter now meeting its funding goal, developer Revolution Software have clarified the ‘stretch goals’ that they have for additional funding amounts beyond their inital goal of $400,000.

Chief among these and certainly the most expensive of these stretch goals is the nerdgasmic promise to greenlight a sequel to classic 90′s point and click masterpiece, Beneath a Steel Sky, should the funding amount reach a cool $1,000,000.

Stretch goals prior to that start at $500,000 with Revolution essentially creating a ‘Directors Cut’ of the forthcoming title, which will include additional characters, puzzles, dialogue, easter eggs and art that were on the cutting room floor.

Next up, at $650,000, the developer will vary things the scenery a bit with the inclusion of rather more flamboyant locations in Africa and the Middle East.

Should the studio net $800,000, double the original funding target, then you can expect more content in the way of more characters, locations and dialogue.

The announcement of these stretch goals also brings with it another cool little development; if you donate $25 or more, you get the Android version for free.  iOS users are not included sadly as apparently, Apple don’t like nice things.

Anyhow, with the announcement of these new stretch goals, the possibility of Beneath A Steel Sky 2 actually happening and a free Android version of Broken Sword 5 on the go, you now know what you need to do.

Get to it.
