Square-Enix have inadvertently confirmed that cult Nintendo DS action-RPG, The World Ends With You, will recieve a release on iOS complete with a brand new soundtrack.

UPDATE:  The trailer for the iOS incarnation of the game can now be seen after jump!  The iOS edition of the game appears to be also be called - The World Ends With You Solo Mix and as Retina enhanced graphics for the iPad and Twitter integration.  The game is priced at £12.99/$17.99 respectively.

The Japanese super-publisher has been running a countdown on an spin-off site which was expected to countdown to something TWEWY related.  Turns out the feline escaped from the bag prematurely as the site revealed that the DS RPG would hit iOS later this year with a date to be determined, along with a soundtrack collection which would be purchasable from the Square-Enix eStore.

While there might be the odd control issue with the game perhaps, I really don’t care; more TWEWY is a Good Thing.
