UPDATE: Actually, as it turns out, the tweet from earlier actually just means that the site is viewable from PC and mobile devices and is not indicative of this new title’s launching platform. It could very well make its way to a major console! I guess we’ll find out in six days.
ORIGINAL: Yo. YO. Y’all recognize that font? You better. On a little offshoot page from the main Square-Enix Japanese site, there’s a countdown timer with the very same characters we see in The World Ends With You when characters are on their way to deletion.
So, what does this mean? It could very well mean a new game in the series, especially since we saw a world dedicated to the title in the recently released Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
Though, it seems that this new title will only be for PC and mobile. We’ll see how this unfolds, but for now, GET HYPE.
Are you speculating the “PC and mobile only” bit because of the “[ TIMELIMIT WITHIN 7DAYS ] PC＆ｽﾏｰﾄﾌｫﾝ” part on the link you posted?
I can’t read Japanese, so I don’t know what that says exactly, but if that’s referring to mobile phones there I would guess the link only works on PC and mobile devices. I’m not holding my breath on those being the platforms the game will come out on.
