Looks like Harmonix decided their overall setlist needed a bit more foreign attitude, so what better way to fulfill that than by bringing classic rock legends Foreigner back into the mix? It doesn’t stop there, though, as the team dug into the heart of Finland to extract a track from symphonic metal group Nightwish, the ninth most-requested band in all of Rockbandia.

Three tracks making their way to a Rock Band 3 near you on August 14th behind the cut.

  • Foreigner – I Want To Know What Love Is k [YouTube]
  • Foreigner – Waiting For A Girl Like You k [YouTube]
  • Nightwish – Amaranth k x [YouTube]
  • No packs this time around, so each song will cost you 160 MSP/$1.99/200 WPS on your console of choice, with “Amaranth” being the only song getting a PRO Guitar/Bass upgrade for an additional buck. Songs marked with a superscript ‘k’ (all of them) have keyboard bits and all songs support tiny plastic instrument play and may or may not have harmonies depending.

More Foreigner was to be expected, honestly, but seeing as Nightwish have weaseled their way in, this sets a new precedent for future European bands making their way into the game outside of the Rock Band Network. Barring huge names like Iron Maiden, of course.
