Resident Evil 6 is done for 360 and PS3, and to celebrate the next game in the zombie saga, Capcom announced the ability to track your in-game stats on residentevil.net. When the game comes out on Oct. 2nd, you’ll be able to track kills, weapons used, and other information, then bombard people over Twitter and Facebook with statistics.
This won’t just be for annoying your friends. You can earn and spend points on this site, and said points unlock costumes and figurines in-game. You can check updates through a new Resident Evil smartphone app that will launch with the game and site, released on all smartphone types.
This service also allows you to play in Capcom organized events, get high scores in Mercenaries, and if you’re a pro, get one of the Championship Belts in special events. There’s only one per event, and you can lose it to other players if you don’t keep it up!
This will all be available on the October 2nd release date on PS3 and 360 (PC players, you’ll have to wait a bit), and the stat tracking is all free, so get ready to kill some zombies!
