Konami have at last confirmed that a live-action movie for their stealthy, box-sneaking opus, Metal Gear Solid, will be made (possibly) into reality with movie studio Colombia Pictures in charge of property.
Avi Arad, he of the Marvel movies fame, has also signed on to the dotted line as producer.
No actors or directors have been signed at this time for the movie, but series creator Hideo Kojima did express his affection for Christopher Nolan, despite the extremely remote possibility that the British born Batman and Inception director would ever get in the director’s chair for the game tie-in.
Are you looking forward to a Metal Gear Solid movie and if so, who would you nominate for the director’s chair and key roles in the film?

I think he was suggesting Nolan for the part of Snake, not as director.
That must be a mistranslation surely.
I’ve seen where he mentioned Nolan, Jackman, Damon et al’ as ‘Hollywood favourites’, but I didn’t see that he singled out Chris Nolan as an actor he would like in the film.
Though the guy is as mad as a bag of frogs, so I wouldn’t put it past him.
@John-Paul Jones, Oh, wait, I was thinking of Christian Bale.
Whoops. Hahaha.
