Continuing their video documentary series which kicked off last week, developers Gearbox Software have today released the second episode in the series titled “Xenos Vs Marines”.

Focusing this time on the conflict between the Marines and titular Xenomorphs, the trailer shows us snippets of multiplayer action; depicting full on Marine on Xenomorph action with fast paced gameplay, kill prompts (triple kill! Badass!) and of course, the seemingly now obligatory killstreaks.  Because every FPS ever, regardless of setting, has to have them right?

We also get a little bit of spiel on how developers are hoping to not only include a ‘revolutionary’ way to facilitate conversation in first-person, but also completely brand new types of Xenomorphs not seen in the films as well.

I’m still not totally sold on the game at this point; these diaries simply aren’t showing enough sustained gameplay, but Gearbox do seem passionately invested in the property enough to make me think it won’t be a complete burning trainwreck of a game.
