The rumors have been around, but today Gearbox made it official. Borderlands 2 will be getting four pieces of DLC and they can be pre-purchased with a season pass. Each DLC will be priced at $9.99 and the season pass gets a 25% discount of $29.99. The DLC is specifically referred to as “campaign add-ons,” so hopefully we don’t get another Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot. We are promised new areas, adventures, and enemies, all expected to arrive by June 2013.

Mad Moxxi, while a fine idea, was so incredibly monotonous. Especially if you’re an achievement hunter. (Which I am.)
I had every achievement in the game except for the achievements to beat the long versions of the three arenas. Even with insanely powerful hacked guns, it took my and three friends 3 nights of 6 hour marathon sessions to beat all three of them and get my first and only 1750/1750 on a game.
I’ll be pissed if we get another one of those, no matter how much I love the game.

@Joe Cammisa, Agreed. At least put a save point part way through to eliminate such a time commitment.
