
Square-Enix has today confirmed that their adaptation of episodic Japanese mobile title Final Fantasy Legends, known as Final Fantasy Dimensions, will be available worldwide on August 31st for iOS and Android.
A throwback to the days when the series knew little of the third dimension, Final Fantasy Dimensions has been created in the mould of the likes of Final Fantasy IV & V, complete with top down map and 2D, side-on battles.
In terms of monetisation, the prologue chapter of the game comes free while succeeding chapters will require you to dig into your digital pocket. You are able to purchase the first chapter for $2.99 / £1.99 / €2.39, chapters 2-4 for $9.99 / £6.99 / €7.99 each, or all of the chapters for $28.99 / £19.99 / €22.99. Twenty quid though? Ouch.
