In keeping up with the veritable torrent of brillant Eurogamer Expo announcements recently, Bethesda Softworks and the Eurogamer Network have confirmed that both Dishonoured and Doom 3: BFG Edition will be playable on the show floor.
Dishonoured looks like it has the potential to be one of the top games of the year, deftly combining the sort of stealth and free-choice approach not seen since the heyday of the Thief titles and coating it all with a compelling steampunk esque setting. In short, it looks brilliant.
Doom 3: BFG Edition is no slouch either; a HD remastering of the last Doom title, it also boasts Doom 1 and Doom 2 as freebies as well as a whole set of brand new levels for Doom 3 which have never been seen before. It’ll be interesting to gauge just how good the conversion of the eight-year old title looks on 360 and PS3 hardware.
The frankly excellent news of Bethesda Softworks going large with two of their biggest releases for this year on the showfloor, follows an earlier announcement from the event organisers that Halo 4 would also be playable and that Frank ‘O Connor from 343 Industries would be on hand to give a developer talk on the game.
Tickets for the show are selling like hotcakes too, so be sure to secure yours by clicking on the picture below:
he Eurogamer Expo is due to take place this year on September 27-30 at Earls Court in London.
