There aren’t many things that would brighten up a Monday I reckon.
A lottery win certainly would for sure, as would the discovery of immortality, or reading about One Direction disbanding, but in the disappointing absence of any of those three, some brand new direct-feed footage from Capcom‘s gorgeous HD spring-clean of Okami will certainly come to close to the mark indeed.
To that end, Capcom have unleashed close to five minutes of brand new footage from Okami HD and quite unsurprisingly, it looks blissfully brilliant.
A testament to the ageless art style that the game employs, Okami HD still looks superb and still can hold its head high amongst the rabble that exists today.
As well as the aforementioned HD facelift (in full 1080p no less) 1080p visuals, the game has full trophy and Playstation Move support; finally giving Move owners an excuse to act relevant again.
No release date has been confirmed outside of a Japanese release sometime in November, but Capcom has repeatedly said that the game will have a worldwide launch before the year is done.
Going on the retina-stroking pleasures witnessed in the video below, I sure hope that they’re right:
Okami HD will release exclusively for the PS3, worldwide, by the end of the year.
