Wii U "GamePad" will have analogue sticks, other functionsAt today’s Nintendo conference Miyamoto debuted the all new Pikmin 3 for the Wii U. Utilizing the Gamepad it will have an all new style of gameplay, allowing deeper strategy by using the touch screen. The game can be played by using only the Gamepad, without the aid of the TV. You can place your Pikmin via touch, quickly flick around the map on the Gamepad screen, and then watch a replay of what you just did on your TV as reference for your next playthru.

Being able to use the Gamepad without the TV is a pretty neat feature, especially for a single player game. And this version of Pikmin brings a new feature of having four additional leaders that you can control simultaneously. And hey, Pikmin are adorable. What’s not to love?
