During Microsoft‘s press conference yesterday, you may have noticed an Usher concert that was preceded by a quick announcement for the newest Harmonix title, Dance Central 3. Today we have a bit more information.

The new title will include over 40 songs including the following:

  • 50 Cent – “In Da Club”
  • Cali Swag District – “Teach Me How to Dougie”
  • Cobra Starship ft. Sabi – “You Make Me Feel…”
  • E.U. – “Da’ Butt”
  • Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina – “Stereo Love”
  • Gloria Gaynor – “I Will Survive”
  • Marcia Griffiths – “Electric Boogie”
  • Usher ft. Will.I.Am – “OMG”
  • Usher – “Scream”
  • Van McCoy – “The Hustle”

Along with the new songs are some new modes including some dancing mini games and a four versus four Crew Throwdown mode. Each member of the crew will have era specific outfits and stages as the game takes a slight focus away from the mainly modern setlist of the past games.

In a brief interview with @HMXHenry, a stranger narrative was teased with a sort of “time travelly, mind bendy” story. Despite the time travel story, the game that will still feature a more modern setlist due to consumer demand. Also in the interview, while game exports and previous DLC hasn’t been officially confirmed for Dance Central 3, it was strongly hinted at that the backward compatibility would be coming as it has in previous Harmonix titles.

Edit: Guess what? DLC/Exports were officially confirmed.

Of note, it was also said that Usher’s OMG may be the hardest Dance Central track to date, with some of the choreographers doing a double-take as they performed the song for the first time themselves.

You can expect Dance Central 3 sometime this fall with a price point of $50. Until then you will just have to know that you don’t have the moves like Solid Snake… Yet.
