Although paying for online play is a regrettable reality for the Xbox Live platform, and Sony has been generously sweetening the proverbial pot for PS3 players in recent times with PS+, Nintendo has stated that they have no plans to make people pay for online services on the 3DS and the upcoming Wii U.

It’s another singles week in Rock Band as Harmonix announced this morning. To curb your enthusiasm, no, none of the songs has anything to do with the Muppets. It’s just that one of the songs happens to be named Gonzo, and well, any reason to have Gonzo is a good enough one for me.

Thirty-five trusted publications have voted and the winners are in! Dominating the list with five wins, including Best of Show and Best Original Game is Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us for PS3. Halo 4 beat out Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Borderlands 2 for best action game. For all the nominees click here.

Wait’s over, folks. The extended ending DLC for Mass Effect 3 is coming out next week on Tuesday, June 26th for you big crybabies. No additional charge, either, but I’m sure some people will still find a way to complain about the 1.9 GB download across all platforms in many regions.

The developers over at Rocksmith like to play games with their fans, releasing hints of what their next songs will be. This week, the hints were all guessed very quickly that they confirmed the tracks early for us. Check it out!
