It’s finally here folks. After what feels like an endless wait, Ubisoft has released the first gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed III.

In it we get a quick insight into the background of new lead character Connor, the setting for the title, and how gameplay has evolved. But the looks of it, Assassin’s Creed III appears to be shifting away from the clustered buildings of previous games and making the wilderness and mountains a deeper part of exploration.

The game is due out on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 31.
