At the tail end of last year, we talked about how The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was playable with Kinect.
Well, that was just a custom mod built for PC utilizing Kinect’s open USB interface, but it seems that Bethesda Softworks is actually going to implement this.
Codenamed “Project Adam,” Bethesda started development on the mod shortly after the title was released in November 2011, but speculation on the internet says that the English mod could be out as early as April 23rd, 2012 with four other languages following shortly after.
The Kinect integration will allow players to use the in-game shouts (Thu’um) like the memetic FUS RO DAH and others, as well as being able to switch weapons, activate different magic spells, and issue commands to companions. In addition, you’ll be able to quickly save and access save files with voice commands.
The Xbox 360 version won’t fully integrate Kinect and go hands-free, but the “Better With Kinect” logo will totally apply alongside other huge titles like Mass Effect 3 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour ’13.
