Big news, soldiers! Not only has a new Metal Gear game been announced, but a call to arms has been made to grab fresh recruits to Konami’s already formidable army.

An announcement from the Metal Gear Solid Facebook page asks aspiring game developers to join in the development of a new Metal Gear Solid game. You may be thinking this is something similar to the Mega Man Legends 3 dev room, but you’d be wrong with that assumption. Konami is looking for legitimate developers who know audio, programming, and animation. A forum contest this isn’t. If you are talented in these fields, then Big Boss wants you to report directly to GDC Booth #1914 at GDC 2012.

This new Metal Gear game may be the game rumored to be in development for the new FOX engine that Hideo Kojima announced at last year’s E3, as it is confirmed to be running on said engine. The game has no other information available, save for a piece of concept art.
