Some watchful players of Rock Band 3 have taken some snapshots of glitched DLC in-game which MAY mean that Rush‘s “2112” may be on its way as downloadable content for the band game.

Formerly being heavily featured in the last iteration of Guitar Hero, Warriors of Rock, the 20-minute opus tells a tale in seven parts of a dystopian future where in 2062, the results of a galactic war mean unity under the rule of the Red Star of the Solar Federation. By 2112, all matters are controlled by the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx, who dictate the content in everything, including music, art and even lifestyle.

Feast your eyes on these snapshots from two different Rock Band 3 players, one who submitted on RockBand.com and one to RockBandAide.com. There may be truth to this whole thing in the very near future, but no telling if you’ll be able to buy the whole song in one shot and play through or if you have to buy each of the seven parts individually.

If these images speak the truth, then consider me, as well as others, very, very excited.

The second image was not from a RockBand.com user, rather it was submitted to RockBandAide.com directly. It was where the original rumor came from. Only after publishing was someone able to corroborate it via the first picture above via the RockBand.com forums.
