Do not attempt to adjust your monitors, folks. What may as well be a Samurai Warriors spin-off is making a spin-off itself alongside a franchise known for numerous spin-offs. I’m starting to get dizzy.

Destructoid, while scouting around, recently uncovered a project going on at the official Pokemon website, as well as a trailer to go with it. From the looks of things, the storyline of Nobunaga’s Ambition, a war that happened in feudal Japan, is having the lovable creatures thrown into the fray as well. The game will be developed for the DS, but no release date has been given.

Gameplay wise, this isn’t a terrible idea, as both titles can be considered strategy (at least, I think so. I’ve never played Ambition). Thematically…WHAT!?

Will this come out in Western territories? Perhaps. Pokemon is Pokemon, and the Warriors titles do well enough for themselves. Do we want it to?

Actually, yeah. I’d pay to see how kooky this gets.
