The first real footage of real people playing the Persona 4 fighting game spin-off in an arcade has emerged from Japanese arcades, where the game is currently in its ‘Location Test’ – a public test of balance, popularity and other vital things before the game is properly released more widely to arcades.
Officially titled Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, the game features characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4 facing off in a fighting game setting.
While footage has released before, the players here seem to have a better understanding of how the game plays and thus give us a better idea of how it is to play than any officially released trailers or any of the footage from Tokyo Game Show.
The footage shows Chie and the protagonist of Persona 4 battling it out in what appears to be their classroom from that game. It certainly looks a lot like an Arc System Works fighter from this video.
