EA‘s Battlefield 3 has sold a total of 8 million units across all platforms. That means 3 million additional units after its release week, where it sold 5 million units.

The news comes from EA CFO Eric Brown, who announced the figure during the Baird Technology Conference in San Francisco. He went on to say that 12 million total copies of Battlefield 3 have been shipped, 2 million up from its initial 10 million units shipped at release.
