A new accessory has been revealed for Sony’s newest handheld, the PSVita. And im gonna tease you and make you click the read more button.

The device is simply an external battery, which holds up to 5000mAh.

That is technically twice as much as the Vita’s internal battery (2200mAh). Coupled with this device, the Vita can give you the ability to play games non-stop from anywhere between 9-15 hours.

The battery itself is also lightweight, weighing in at a whopping 145g. Sony says the battery will be released in Spring 2011, although there has not been a price revealed for the battery. Rest assured, it will probably be quite expensive.

Oh, also a picture.
