If you’re like me and try to play all the indie games that come out for XBLA hoping for the rare gem in there, then today yielded a treat. Developer Phoenix has put out a challenging platformer called T.E.C. 3001. You play as a robot that races down a track collecting batteries while jumping across gaps and sliding under obstacles. Sounds simple right? Well it’s surprisingly hard to master but rewarding when you finally accomplish a level.

It’s setup on a rail system but with more control as there’s several parts where the track branches out and you can chose which way to go. The game is incredibly addictive and it has pretty awesome graphics for an indie game. Well for any game actually. Don’t believe me? Watch the video after the jump.

T.E.C. 3001 is one of ten indie games chosen by the community to be a part of the Indie Games Summer Uprising and is available on the Xbox Live Arcade for 240 points ($3).

Oh God, it’s like I’m playing a third-person perspective Turbo Tunnel from Battletoads.

    Nightmares forever.
