Out of all the video games that could be turned into movies, I think Mass Effect ranks fairly high up there. Thankfully, a Mass Effect movie is currently in pre-production!

According to Gamefront, Legendary Pictures, the production company behind Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Where the Wild Things Are and a host of other movies you probably liked are bringing their Mass Effect: The Movie to this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

A whole panel will be dedicated to the film, currently scheduled for July 22. The panel that is. Not the movie. Mark Protosevich, the film’s screenwriter and BioWare’s Casey Hudson will be hosting. No details on what will be announced has come forward as of right now.

Hudson, along with BioWare founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk serve as executive producers on the project. No director has been announced, but give this to someone like Duncan Jones, Ridley Scott, James Cameron or Steven Spielberg and you might just have an excellent movie on your hands.
