With the gap left behind by the supposed death of guitar-based rhythm games, what’s going to be the new thing to fill in that gap? Dance Central and the recent upswing of dancing games is an obvious contender, but Harmonix has a few more tricks up its sleeve.

One of these is the newly trademarked “Vidrhythm,” which Harmonix filed with an “intent to use.” No one has no idea what it is or what it does, but Harmonix Communications Director John Drake confirmed to Giantbomb.com that “it will be awesome.” So there’s that.

I assume this game will involve video. And probably rhythm at some point. Here’s hoping it won’t involve ’90s-style FMV.
