Undoubtedly the strangest game of E3 2011 so far, Killer Freaks from Outer Space, was announced as a Wii U exclusive during Nintendo’s third-party developer round table.
Touted as “a light-hearted FPS”, Killer Freaks will take full advantage of the Wii U controller.
Killer Freaks is set in London after an alien invasion and stars a foul-mouthed Cockney with plenty of curses to deliver as he kills alien fraks with a disintegrator. Imagine House of the Dead Overkill, but in London. With aliens.
The game is controlled with the Wii U controller gyroscope, turning and aiming by moving the controller in real space. But it is rumoured you can also use the analogue sticks for movement and camera, which is welcome.
Killer Freaks from Outer Space is due in 2012, hopefully as a launch title. Check out the official announcement trailer below, which promises crazy weapons, killer aliens and plenty of gore for all.
