Well, it finally happened. It only took us 14 years and 26 days, but it’s finally happened. Cue the jokes about hell freezing over, pigs flying and me finally getting laid, because Duke Nukem Forever has gone gold. It’s finished, it’s done, and it’s been a long incredibly, stupid waiting period! Gearbox has made gaming history, and removed one of the four cornerstones of video game related humour.
2K’s and Gearbox just released this image to celebrate the news. You can also view the full image after the cut.
“Always bet on Duke, I did,” said Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford.
“I bet on all of the developers who have ever been a part of this legendary project and I bet that none of us want to live in a world without the Duke. I’ve played the final game and it is an incredible experience – a once-in-a-lifetime opus of interactive entertainment that reminds me once again why Duke Nukem is our King”.
Duke Nukem Forever will finally ship on June 10 in Europe, and June 14 in the US. First Access Club members will be able to play the game’s demo on June 3. I still won’t believe it until I finally have it in my hands.

I hope its good! Still on the fence about getting it. Waiting to see what the reviews say.
