Every year E3 kicks us into the summer convention circuit, with PAX Prime following shortly thereafter. PAX is an interesting event to me as it never seems to be all about the big game reveals, but more about revelling in what makes gaming great.

One staple of the PAX event is the keynote speech, delivered big names such as Ken Levine, Warren Spector, Wil Wheaton and Ron Gilbert. This year, the keynote will be held by none other than the father of Twisted Metal and God of War: David Jaffe.

The announcement came via Jaffe’s own Twitter feed. Jaffe is known for creating games high on both action and fun, as well as a colourful language. Here’s hoping he won’t swear his way through half his keynote!

“Super excited and very honored to announce I will be doing the keynote at this year’s PAX Prime end of August! Hope u stop by for a listen!”
