Well, it seems the second countdown has ended!

What has Valve brought us this time?

Ooookay. The countdown ended the first time, and then refreshed and started at 00:00:59 again.

But then this showed up:

09:00 — Welcome to the Aperture Science Surprise Deployment Initiation System Bootup Sequence.
09:00 — Performing initiation scanning protocol…
09:00 — Setting system clock time: July 14th, 1973.
09:01 — Calculating reticular splines…
09:01 — Beginning boot sequence from master boot sector 16…
09:01 — Checking phase 4 memory…
09:01 — Loading SDisOS…
09:02 — Boot sequence complete.
09:02 — Initiating SDisOS core functionality…
09:02 — Preparing surprise deployment protocol…
09:03 — Initiating surprise deployment protocol…
09:03 — Deploying surprise in… 3… 2… 1…

Aaaand then the page timed out. Awesome! It redirects to a URL that says “thankyou,” so I imagine that it’s Valve trying to thank us for making Portal 2 a great success. Or that the indie developers are thanking Valve for being involved with the Potato Project!

Either way, you’re welcome!

Here’s a link to the page whenever it decides to load!

    @RAGE,
    “All test subjects wish to thank…”

    You realize the “test subjects” are the community, right?

    It was the community thanking the developers, not the developers thanking each other. That website wasn’t even affiliated with VALVe or any of those indie companies any way, why would you ever assume it had anything to do with them?…

    @Skiddle1138, Actually, it was the devs from the Potato Sack saying thanks, as well as the community.

    @Kyle Gaddo, actually it was the community thanking both the indie developers and Valve. I’d know – I helped make the website.

    @Luke, Oh, okay.
