Anno, the series of city-building/resource management sims, is getting a new entry. The last entry in the series, Anno 1404 (Known as Dawn of Discovery in North America), was quite well received in its own circles.

The games have traditionally had a historic setting, but the new has the twist of taking place in the future. It’s being developed as a collaboration between regular developer Related Designs, and Settlers developer Blue Byte, the other big name in “European” style RTSes. Watch the trailer for Anno 2070 below.

The game should be out in the last quarter of 2011.
