With today’s North American release of Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, Nintendo is pleased to give away the first legendary Pokémon of the new fifth generation of games: Victini.
From today until April 10th, 2011, new Black and White players in North America will be able to use their system’s WiFi connection to download the Liberty Pass for an amazing special encounter with the rare Victini.
Victini will come at level 15 and with the exclusive Victory Star special ability that raises its own accuracy, as well as the accuracy of two other Pokémon in triple battles. Its moves include Confusion, Endure, Incinerate, and Quick Attack.

How to Capture: You need to download the “Liberty Ticket” from Mystery Gift before you can get to Victini. It is the 3rd option in the Pokemon Black & White Menu once you turn the game on.
After you have downloaded the gift using the Nintendo WFC option, you can pick up the Liberty Ticket from the postman who has magically appeared in the nearest PokeCentre. You then need to get to Castelia City. At the dock all the way to the left is a boat that will take you to Liberty Island, but only if you have the ticket.
In the basement of what is clearly a rip off of the Statue of Liberty, you will find Victini. It’s level 15, but it’s catch rate is really low. I personally recommend Dusk Balls, or wait until later when you can get Ultra Balls.
If you accidentally knock Victini out, you can make him reappear again simply by leaving and re-entering the room.

@Michael O’Connor, For some reason that method isn’t working on my DS Lite. Is there an alternative way to get the Liberty Pass? I tried using the nintendo support but that just took me around in circles for 3 days.
@Anon, Have you successfully set your DS up to access your wireless modem? If your own modem doesn’t work, try going to a friends and requesting the use of there’s or something.
Unfortunately, there’s no other way to get the item other than downloading it through the Mystery Gift feature.

@David, That, uh, sounds like a personal problem.
In all seriousness, though, probably a Dusk Ball + Paralysis/Sleep would work best.
@David, if you really want to catch it use a dusk ball at night and then use a attack that would make it sleep or make it burn or poison

um,I got this game on 2/6/12 so is there a way to download it but using system settings and go back in time? :(
@Zack, All the Mystery Gifts are stored on Nintendo’s servers. There is no way to access them if they do not have the content enabled.
OMG, I’ve done it a million times, it connects to nintendo WIFI, then it say ‘there were no gifts to be found’ wtf I need some help!!
