Gabe Newell, the jolly CEO of Valve, recently did a video conference with a bunch of high school kids in a marketing class. As awesome as this is by itself, Gabe dropped some pretty heavy news. After chewing the fat with the class, Gabe let it slip that Portal 2 development has completed, and that Valve is working on printing the discs for the game as we speak.

A hefty YouTube video (43 minutes long) shows the entire video conference, and we get to see Gabe talk directly to these kids and answer their marketing-related questions. We’ve got the full, meaty video after the cut.

Portal 2 is slated for a release date of April 18, 2011.

Meanwhile, Half-Life 2: Episode 3 has been delayed an additional five months due to the fat jokes in this post.

Every time there’s a fat joke about Gabe Newell, he delays Half Life 3/Episode 3 more. :(

@Kyle Gaddo, At this rate, Gabe will release Half-Life 3 just to troll us. It will make several references to important events that happened in HL2: Episode 3 that we’ll never know about, so we’ll be left in the dark about a lot of events. Like, for example, why Gordon Freeman is now dead.

Gabe is truly a master troll.
