You read that right—Harmonix are introducing a relatively new feature for Legacy DLC where you can purchase new PRO Upgrades for Guitar and Bass for older songs in the Rock Band 3 library and come March 1st, to coincide with the awesome new peripheral), you’ll be able to rock out for real with eleven classic tracks in a brand new way.

The following songs will be getting PRO Upgrades on Tuesday:

  • Blink 182 – Dammit
  • Boston – More Than A Feeling
  • Creedence Clearwater Revival – Bad Moon Rising
  • Creedence Clearwater Revival – Fortunate Son
  • Eve 6 – Inside Out
  • The James Gang – Funk #49
  • The Knack – My Sharona (Cover Version)
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd – Simple Man
  • Metallica – …And Justice for All
  • The Offspring – Self Esteem
  • Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble – Pride and Joy

Introduced with the Bon Jovi DLC, you could use the new PRO Upgrades with the Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and LEGO Rock Band Bon Jovi songs “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and “You Give Love a Bad Name.” This trend will likely continue as the Guitar/Bass PRO Upgrade selection expands where old songs and new songs alike will have new functionality to encourage players to continue getting not only new DLC, but the stuff in the library as well.

All PRO Upgrades for Guitar and Bass are going to be available for 80 MSP/$0.99/100 WPS and you must have the Fender Squier or Mustang to be able to play the PRO Mode!

Please note that these older tracks do not have keyboard or harmony support (as much as I wish they did). But it is good to see that even older tracks are getting some love.
