Awkward Silence Games have done something a little peculiar with One Chance — it’s a game you can play only once.

You are John Pilgrim, a doctor who discovered the cure for cancer. Except that the “cure” not only destroys cancer cells, it destroys every cell.

There’s not really a whole lot to the game — just hold right and press the space bar to interact with different things. The graphics are simple and you can play right from your browser.

The thing is, you have six in-game days to make decisions to whether you spend your final days on Earth working towards finding a cure or live up your final time alive in a way befitting your character.

There are multiple endings you can achieve, but you only get the one chance (unless you clear your browser’s flash cache to allow you to play again).

The idea of permanence is an interesting one — what do you do with your final days on Earth?

Play now and let us know which ending you get!

@Tony Bradford, To be fair, it’s a game even Roger Ebert could play.

@Kyle Gaddo, It reminds me A LOT of “Everyday the Same Dream”. A flash game like this, but you can have subtle changes with what happens every time until the end. Look it up.
