Remember when Activision stated that there was already a new Call of Duty set for release in 2011? Well it looks like it’ll be set in the cold blackness of Space.
No, this is not a joke.
Gamasutra reported today that Sledgehammer Games, the newly formed Activision-owned studio, is supposedly working on a FPS Call of Duty title that will be set in “the future” and will feature “Space Marines.”
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first piece of evidence that a Space-themed Call of Duty title was in the works. According to Superannuation, Activision registered internet domains for Call of Duty: Future Warfare, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Secret Warfare, and Call of Duty: Space Warfare back in May.
Here’s hoping that this never happens.

I dunno, shattered horizon is pretty fun. It might be a laugh.
So…Sledgehammer are making a Halo game.
@Kyle Gaddo, Basically, yes.
@Derek Appel, Chief of Duty.
THIS WILL BE DISRESPECTFUL TO THE POSSIBLE SACRIFICES OF OUR POTENTIAL SPACE FIGHTING FORCES.
