Nice list, and I love the fact you recognised Zelda 2 as the better NES zelda game. :D But dude, where’s MEGA MAN 3??!!! :O Did you ever play Little Samson..? totally underrated game. Star Wars (ep4) was also quite good on the NES, but probably not good enough for the list I think.
Hey Blaze! Glad you liked the list, TOTALLY played all the Mega Mans, 2 and 3 are my absolute favs.. It was very hard for me to not put one on here as this is my “personal” collection of favs, and in no way meaning that this is the know all be all of games on the NES. I mean, Castlevania, Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden.. the list goes on with classics. I need like 30 min to do them all justice, 15 minutes just isn’t enough time. Thanks for your time tho! :)
Zelda 2 was definitely over the original, but is overlooked because of the sheer magnitude of awesome from the original. No one expected a side-scrolling rpg when Zelda 2 was released.
@Tony Bradford, VERY good point Tony, its very true! It came from left field.. and in my youth, I was always wondering why that game drew me in more than the first.. I can see now as its totally clear! All those amazing elements brought together to make that amazing game!
