The Last Guardian confirmed for "holiday" 2011, will support 3D

Fumito Ueda’s confirmed at the Tokyo Game Show today a “holiday” 2011 release for The Last Guardian.

The date was mentioned at the end of a new trailer for the game, which you’ll find after the cut.

Ueda also confirmed during to Sony press conference at the event that the game will support 3D. Not the polygons based 3D that the term has been used to describe for the past 20 years – that’s a given – but the pseudo-depth 3D that washes out all the colours on screen for the sake of half an hour of headache inducing “immersion”.

Team Ico’s previous masterpieces,  ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, will be  appearing on the PS3 “soon”.
